FAMU has suspended all performances of the band while the University investigates the State of the great Robert Champion drum in Orlando's death amid allegations of hazing in the famous school marching band.
Florida agricultural and mechanical University President Dr. James Ammons announced today that FAMU is organizing an independent task force that deals with the activities of the "illegal and questionable" in 375-Member marching band.
The Panel will try to "determine if there are patterns of behavior that is inappropriate in the culture of the band," Ammons said.
Allegations of hazing has loomed over the course of an investigation into Robert's death, the champion was pronounced dead Saturday night in the hospital Orlando that follow the "Marching 100" performance at the Florida Classic football game.
