Each year, Hollywood and slews of new pumping station TV Christmas and holiday movies, each trying to secure a place among the eternal "classic" of the genre.
The only question is, does the film really deserves to be on the list of the "classic", and that one should be regarded as the cream of the crop yulelog?
The poll below shows examples of eclectic holiday films, some of whom inspired several sequels and spinoffs. This is not an all-inclusive list, but it has some "classic" from a variety of genres and time periods.
Films that are not included in this poll, though, is that use Christmas as major settings but not the main theme or driving plot device (Yes, "Die Hard" is one of my favorite movies, but that's not a film "Christmas" while setting up Christmas party-sorry). We even included several TV specials, although they are not technically "film."
